Directions
Add ⅓ cup Toor Daal & ¼ tsp Turmeric Powder with 1 cup water in a pressure cooker.
Cook over medium flame up to 2 whistles.
Turn off the flame & allow it to stand until pressure comes down naturally.
Open the lid & mash the daal using spatula.
Now add some mixed vegetables like ¼ cup potato, ¼ cup french beans etc.
Pressure it up to 3-4 whistles.
Mean while prepare tamarind juice by soaking ½ tbsp tamarind in 3 tbsp hot water for 10-15 min.
Mash it with a spoon & strain it using sieve.
Now heat 1tbsp oil in a pan over medium flame.
Add ½ tsp mustard seeds.
When they start splutter, Add 5-6 curry leaves 2-3 dry red chilli, A pinch of Hing & saute for 10-15 second.
Add 1 medium chopped onion.
Saute until onion turns transparent.
Add tamarind juice & cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add 1 medium chopped tomatoes. Saute for a while.
Now add 1.5 tbsp TRIYAMB Sambhar Masala and Cook for a minute.
Add cooked daal & vegetables, 1½ cups water & salt.
Boil until it turns frothy and it will take 5-7 minutes.
Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves.
